It didn’t take me long to realize as a wedding photographer that no two weddings are alike. From large multiple-day affairs to small intimate weddings, I love it all! It’s super important as a couple to decide what type of wedding best suits your desires and personalities. Connie and RK had originally planned for a large wedding in August, but after thinking it over they decided they wanted to have a small, intimate wedding instead and then take an incredible honeymoon (they’re honeymooning in Hawaii in August and I could not be more jealous!!).

at Smith Mountain Manor in Huddleston, Virginia
Surrounded by their closest family and friends, Connie and RK married at the beautiful Smith Mountain Manor in Huddleston, VA. If you’re not familiar with the venue, Smith Mountain Manor is a glamorous special events venue located in the prettiest lake-town of Virginia. It makes the perfect backdrop for weddings, elopements, and other special events! Before the ceremony began, Connie and RK met with their officiant, Mike Smith, and joined hands while Mike shared a blessing. The ceremony started shortly after and Connie was escorted down the aisle by her mother.
During the reception, they each danced with their mothers and emotions filled the room. The entire wedding day you could not only tell how much Connie and RK loved each other, but how much they loved their families as well.
In the evening, we took a group picture in front of the stunning view of the Blue Ridge Mountains (I don’t know if I’ll ever get sick of seeing those mountains!) and the beautiful manor. It was the perfect ending to a beautiful day.
