I think all photographers can agree that one of the biggest challenges as a photographer is the weather. No matter how much time and effort we put into capturing memories for a couple or family, mother nature sometimes just causes so much stress!
While I typically am SO excited leading up to a session, I was super worried that Vyvyana & Clay’s engagement photos were going to be rained out; the day had been super cloudy and I had my eyes glued to the weather forecast hoping for the best. When it came time for the shoot,I met up with Vyvyana and Clay at Swannanoa Palace in Afton, VA to do their session and OMG when I tell you we lucked out with the weather… The sky opened up and the sun began to shine, so we not only got some beautiful views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, but we also had a stunning sunset!
I absolutely love photographing engagement sessions because it’s such a fun time for me to get to know my clients better. Not only did we luck out with the beautiful weather but Vyvyana and Clay were so much fun to work with; they were laughing and smiling the entire time. I cannot wait to capture their wedding in the spring (as much as I wish their two dogs Addy & Amos were attending!).
