Most of my clients opt not to do their engagement session before their wedding day. Well, I have a different belief, which is why I put together a list of how you can utilize the images you took from your engagement session. That way, you get the benefit of knowing how your photographer handles posing and lighting situation and also showcase your beautiful images on your wedding day!
- Save the date. You can use your engagement photos to send your Save The Date cards to your guests to ensure they have your wedding date blocked in their calendars ahead of time.
- Wedding invitation. Most couples use their engagement session photos to send their formal wedding invitation – and depending on their invitation style, you might be able to use 2 or more photos.
- Wedding guestbook. Albums are not just for wedding photos, after your engagement session you can order an album from your photographer and use that as your guestbook, not only can you showcase your beautiful images in a book, but it also adds value when you guest adds their warm wishes for you and your soon-to-be husband!
- Table centerpieces. I’ve had multiple couples who used their engagement photos as their table centerpieces for their wedding day, and let me tell you – guests ABSOLUTELY adore seeing those images in every table.
Literally, the sky’s the limit on the thing that you can do with your engagement photos. So couples, if your photographer offers an engagement session on their wedding collection – TAKE IT! You can never get too many photos of you and the person you’re going to spend the rest of your life with!
