In 2020, I picked up my first camera and basically became obsessed. In 2021, I photographed my first wedding, and for years, weddings became a huge part of my story.
But somewhere along the way, I started photographing more college seniors at UVA, and something just clicked.
I love the energy, the friendships, the champagne flying everywhere, and the chaos of getting entire friend group to look at me at the same time. I loved hearing the stories behind their favorite spots on Grounds and documenting friendships that had grown through four years of college life.
As my own life changed, so did the stories I felt most drawn to photograph. Today, I'm a wife, a mom, a furmom, and a full-time photographer - and I'm more aware than ever of how quickly a season of life can become a memory.
Because one day, the Rotunda won't be somewhere you walk past every week. Your roommates won't live down the hall. And getting your entire friend group together won't be as simple as dropping "Bodo's?" in the group chat/
These really are the good old days. And I want you to have the photographs to remember it.
