I always love it when I have the opportunity to photograph friends and family members of couples I’ve had the pleasure of capturing before! I met Logan and Orion when I was photographing Vyvyana’s wedding, Orion’s sister. Logan and Orion were married at Triple J Farm in Catawba, VA.
Something so amazing about this wedding is that Logan is a wedding planner so it was a blast to get to work with a bride who was also in the industry and see her vision come to life ( you know she was on it with her wedding planning!). There were so many personal touches and DIY projects perfectly sprinkled throughout which made this wedding like no other; Logan used her wedding planning expertise to coordinate all the perfect little details, decor, and even make her own centerpieces. One particularly heartwarming touch that stood out was how Logan and Orion paid homage to the place where their love story began, Mission BBQ, by having their wedding catered with delicious BBQ from the restaurant they met at.
The day began with detail photos and the bride with her bridesmaids and the groom with his groomsmen and then we made our way to the ceremony. Logan and Orion chose to forgo a first look, which led to a truly emotional moment at their ceremony against the backdrop of the breathtaking Blue Ridge Mountains (accompanied by the presence of some adorable cows too!). After the ceremony the reception began and these two danced the night away. It was so much fun and Logan and Orion had the time of the lives I’m so happy I had the opportunity to be a part of it!
