I had a bit of a full circle moment when photographing Vyvana and Clay’s beautiful wedding at Smith Mountain Manor – when I was shooting their engagement session, the weather was not cooperating and unfortunately we had the same situation on their wedding day where the rain just did not want to stop. However, we still had the most stunning day thanks to the beauty of the Smith Mountain Manor and a cozy indoor ceremony location.
There were so many beautiful, emotional moments throughout the day. These moments ranged from Vyv’s heartfelt first look with her father to the lighthearted first look with the groomsmen. The ceremony itself was brimming with emotion, but one standout moment was when Vyv surprised Clay with a second dress, leading to a heartfelt “first look.” Clay could not hold back the tears during this moment, it was so incredibly sweet!
Similar to their engagement session the sky started to clear up right after their ceremony and we were able to grab some amazing portraits outdoors and even got to sneak away for some stunning sunset shots as well! We ended the perfect day with a sparkler exit complete with the entire wedding party of 18! Vyvyana & Clay, thank you so much for trusting me to capture your beautiful day and as always a special shout out to the vendors who helped make the day so amazing!
